August 26 is National Dog Day. It’s always the 26th of August. The purpose of having a day set out to recognize dogs is two-fold. The first is to honor dogs and the ways they enrich human lives, but also to increase awareness about homeless dogs, animal abuse, and encourage people to rescue dogs from shelters.
What does this have to do with a flower shop? Well first of all the owners of Annie’s Main Street Floral: The Layton Funeral Florist, are dog lovers. Once in a while you can stop in and visit with Loki the Great Dane, and Buddy the Labrador Retriever.
Also, you can “chuck your change,” in our jar, which will be donated to the local animal shelter to help house and feed pets in need of a forever home.
